A realistic self-portrait using watercolor technique.
What is the color of human skin?
Blue, red, pink, orange, brown and so many other colors, all together.
For this project, I borrowed the "grisaille" technique, which is often used in oil paintings.
The principle is to apply a colored background, leaving lighter or darker parts well defined. After this first layer, new layers, transparent and semi-transparent, are added alternating warm and cool colors. Finally, opaque colors are used to define the painting and make it more realistic!
